Install and open XERION
Run the downloaded installer, then launch the app.

Add your free Gemini API key
On first launch, XERION asks for your own Gemini API key. Get one free from Google AI Studio: sign in with your Google account, click "Create API key", then copy and paste it into XERION. The key is tested immediately and stays on your own computer — it's never sent to XERION's servers.

Connect the app
In XERION, open Settings → Connect Web, then enter the pairing code shown there on your account's Devices page. This links the app to your plan and its limits.
